Crestview had a “ribbon cutting” yesterday (July 27, 2022) for the new Children’s Splash Pad located on Wilson Street across from the Bracken Building!
This was a wonderful event and I am glad I could be there. Thank you to All who helped make this happen for the kids in our community!! The heat has been brutal and this was much needed. <3

Emergency management and Deaf CERT planning for the community
ADAS Director Mark Ehrlichmann and Advocate Lee Roberts met with Okaloosa County Emergency Operations Coordinator Ken Wolfe yesterday to discuss collaborative efforts to improve relations with, to improve communication access, and develop CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) Training for Deaf Community. A great meeting and start towards building a more inclusive community and opportunities for the Deaf.

The State and Fate of Children - PRDFF
It was an amazingopportunity to attend one of The Most incredible events with my sister advocates Donna Kshir and Laurie Anne Smith Tornerup for the safety and well being of children. For me this was the chance of a lifetime. I will be forever grateful for the personal invitation extended by Benford Standley and for the chance to attend The State and Fate of Children Day Paso Robles, CA 2010.
Benford you are an inspiration to the world and a blessing to children everywhere~
Memories made and friendships forged as countless advocates, activists, actors and musicians gathered to help children <3
